Our Mission

The mission of the Burlington School District’s EEE Program is to identify children with significant developmental challenges and to provide family-centered early childhood special education services. These services allow children to participate in typical early childhood activities to the best of their abilities, to reach their full learning potential, and to prepare them for the next learning environment.

The Burlington Essential Early Education Program

The Burlington Essential Early Education Program offers a preschool program for children between the ages of 3 to 5 years of age. Our preschool classrooms are specifically designed to provide a rich pre-school experience for all children and follows the Burlington School District's school calendar. The staff of each classroom includes an Early Education/Special Education Teacher, a Speech/Language Pathologist and Para-Educators. Each classroom includes students with special needs and peer models. The morning pre-school class is offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings between 9:15 and 12:00. The two afternoon classrooms are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:30-3:30.

Currently, the EEE Center is accepting applications for peer models between the ages of 3-5 years of age. A Peer Model Student is expected to demonstrate age appropriate skills in the areas of play, social , behavior, speech , language and motor skills.

If you are interested in your child being considered as a peer model, please contact:
