District Publishes Annual Comprehensive Budget Document
Burlington, VT Just in time for Town Meeting Day, BSD has published a comprehensive budget document highlighting the 2020-2021 School Budget Proposal. The document walks stakeholders through the budgeting process, details budget reductions and additions as they relate to the District’s strategic plan priorities, and explains tax implications. The document also includes a line-item version of the proposed budget.
“We’ve been producing this document for several years now and I always get excited when it gets published,” said BSD Superintendent Yaw Obeng. “Burlington is an intelligent and engaged community. Residents want and need a clear picture of how their tax dollars will support students; this annual document provides that and more.”
The 63-page document supplements a significant amount of budget information that has already been published by the District, including the 2019 Annual Report and a budget-one pager. All documents can be found on in the budget section of the District’s website: www.bsdvt.org/budget
