Join us on Thursday, April 9th, from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Richard Kemp Center as we celebrate Black Excellence through spoken word.
Hear from a combination of poets, including students and faculty from HMS, EMS, and BHS. Special guests include Poetry Out Loud State Finalist Moya Thayer and members of the BHS Poetry Club. We are also thrilled to welcome BSD Parent and Storyteller Artist Ferene Paris of All Heart Inspirations as the event’s featured poet. All are invited to gather for a night of celebration, reflection, and education.
This event is free and open to all; however, some themes may not be suitable for elementary students. We ask parents to use their discretion.
Light refreshments will be served. Big thank you to BHS Senior Coretta Ngoulaki for creating our poster! The Richard Kemp Center is located at 372 N. Winooski Avenue in Burlington.
