On Monday, May 13th Superintendent Obeng and the Kelly Sevices leadership time stopped by (interrupted!) one of Kate Stein’s classes for an important announcement… Kate Stein has been named Kelly Services “Vermont Student Teacher of the Year.” (Scroll down to see the video!)
In addition to the Superintendent and Kelly Services, Kate’s husband and son attended the surprise, along with the person who nominated her, Tom Ryan. BHS Principal Noel Green and BTC Director Tracy Racicot delivered words of praise for Kate as well.
Kate was chosen from over 400 substitute teachers that work for Kelly Services in Vermont and she is the first BSD substitute to ever receive this recognition. She was nominated by Tom Ryan from Burlington High School, and she received recommendation letters from Shannon Walters, Tracy Racicot, and Superintendent Obeng. (Read the Superintendents LOS here.)
