THANK YOU, BURLINGTON!
For the seventh straight year, Burlington said “YES” to public schools on Town Meeting Day. Burlington School District’s proposed 2021-2022 budget passed with more than 75% of all votes cast in favor.
“Burlington School District is grateful to the voters for supporting this year’s Town Meeting Day budget,” said Superintendent Flanagan. “By approving the 2021-22 budget, you’ve allowed the District to maintain program levels and continue work on our strategic priorities revolving around equity, engagement, and deep learning.”
Flanagan noted that BSD staff and board members worked hard to lessen the budget’s impact on taxpayers as much as possible. “This past year has been a difficult one for many Burlington residents. Understanding this, we did everything possible to present a budget that supported our students and staff without overburdening taxpayers. It’s encouraging to see taxpayers come out in support of Burlington schools and students. Thank you, Burlington!”
